Imagine that you met a new person on Catchyy. Of course, you want to know as much about them as possible, and they want to know about you. However, remember that you need to be careful when sharing personal information to protect yourself from potential fraudsters or dangerous situations.
A list of data that we do not recommend sharing on the platform:
1. Your full name and the names of your family members, close friends or colleagues.
2. Your home address, your place of work or the places you visit most often.
3. Phone numbers or mailbox addresses. We also do not recommend sharing your data on social networks.
4. Any financial information. This includes both your bank card or ewallet numbers and information about your income or the income of your family members or close friends.
5. Specific information that you can use as an answer to a question to access social networks or banking (for example, the name of your first pet, where your parents met, etc.).
6. Specific information about upcoming trips, including the dates of your next trip, route details, flights or hotels.
7. Photos of your documents. If a user asks you to share a photo of your ID to “verify” your identity.
If another user asks you to share any of the information listed above, this is a clear sign that you are dealing with a scammer. We recommend that you immediately stop communicating, block the user, and report them to Support.
